After his father’s death, Ali Bongo Ondimba was elected following a transition period which unfolded without major conflicts.  His candidature, as the son of the previous leader, aroused many doubts and suspicion… and made a divine surprise!  He  turned out to be assertive and innovative. His new ideas freshened up the prevailing conformism and his energy shook up Libreville, which had been suffering from a certain tropical torpor for too long.

We found in him a competent and modern president who has the ambition to turn Gabon into a developing country. He hasn’t succeeded yet, but he has understood everything and has started to act.

His success will be that of his country’s, which is why we wish him all the best.

We can also see the social engagement of his wife, Sylvia, who is driven by an honest conviction. Her activities show that she is doing much more than what is required by her position as first lady: http://www.fondationsylviabongoondimba.org/
